Privacy Policy

As a valued customer, we want to ensure that your personal information is kept private and shared only with companies authorized by you or as permitted or required by law. This document explains our privacy policy, outlines the reasons we collect certain types of information, and describes how information may be shared with non-affiliated third parties. It also explains your right to “opt out” of certain information-sharing practices. Please take a moment to read this entire policy — IT IS FOR YOUR PROTECTION.

01.  Collection of Information

The purchase or lease of a motor vehicle requires the collection of a significant amount of nonpublic personal information. For example, if we sell or lease you a vehicle and extend credit, we will collect information from you to determine your creditworthiness. We may also obtain information from credit reporting agencies and from third parties such as employers, references, and insurance companies.

Some of the information we obtain from you may be required by state or federal agencies, such as the Department of Motor Vehicles or the Internal Revenue Service. This information may be required even if you pay cash for your vehicle.

02.  Protecting Your Information

We safeguard nonpublic personal information in accordance with established industry standards and procedures. We maintain physical and electronic safeguards that comply with state and federal law. Access to nonpublic personal information is restricted to employees and contractors who need the information to provide products or services to you.

We prohibit our employees and agents from disclosing your information to anyone in a manner that would violate applicable law or our privacy policy.

03.  Information Sharing

Unless we have indicated our intent to share nonpublic personal information with non-affiliated third parties (by checking the box in the section below), we share information only under the following circumstances:

a. As permitted or required by federal or state law.

b. For purposes related to processing a sale or lease transaction that you request or authorize, such as submitting information to third-party financial institutions for contract assignment or verifying insurance coverage.

c. When using outside service providers to help us deliver products and services to you. Before sharing information, we enter into contractual agreements with these providers that prohibit them from using or disclosing the information for any purpose other than that for which it was provided.

d. With affiliated companies. Affiliated companies include any company that controls us, any company we control, or any company under common control with us.
